How to make Weather in Sims 3 Ambitions with a Fog Emitter


1) Open the Cheat Box (Ctrl + Shift + C )

2) Type: testingcheatsenabled true and press enter

3) Reopen the Cheat Box

4) Type: buydebug and press enter

5) Go into buy mode and click the “sort by function” tab

6) The box with a question mark is BuyDeBug mode….click it
(buydebug mode is cheat that allows you to buy ALL items for building, buying etc)

7) Then click on the Miscellaneous tab.

Scroll down until you find the Fog Emitter

9) Click on it and place one on your lot

10) After you have places the Fog Emitter, press and hold Ctrl + Shift and click on the Fog Emitter…Several options will come up.

11) Click on “Enable Visual Effect”

12) Once again press and hold Ctrl + Shift and click on the Fog Emitter and click “Set Visual Effect”

13) A Box will pop-up

14) In that box you can enter ANY of the following:

15) The one I use in this video is “Snowfallingheavyday”

16) After you choose a Visual Command to enter in, go back to live mode…and VUALA! Snow, rain, waterfalls etc.


**You can always go into buy mode Ctrl + Shift and Click on the Fog Emitter and “CLONE” it. This will duplicate any actions you have set to that specific Fog Emitter”
